The mission of FORT SAFETY, which has been our guiding North Star since our inception, is:
Protecting Kids and Strengthening Families Online
It doesn’t matter how old you are, where you are from, what your politics are, what your race is, or what faith community you belong to: we ALL agree that our kids are the most precious resource that we have. Our children deserve a childhood. Our children deserve our love, attention, protection, and guidance. They should know that they have what it takes to excel in life and that technology is a tool NOT a toy.
- Kids need to know that because the internet is a tool, that it has dangerous aspects to it, much like a chainsaw.
- Kids need to learn how to use the internet together as a family.
- Kids need to learn how to talk about what we see or watch on the internet.
- Kids need to know what to do when they are bullied or receive a sext (which is a federal crime in 10 states)
- Kids need to learn how to find a healthy balance between technology and life.
Fort Safety, an educational nonprofit, provides students, teachers, parents, grandparents and other guardians of children the skills, habits, and confidence needed to protect the kids under their care from online dangers such as seeing pornography, violence, hate speech, grooming by sexual predators and traffickers, bullying, sexting, gaming addiction, and social media related issues.
Ready to bring Fort Safety to your school, church, office, or community?
FORT SAFETY Community Events Our internet safety events are dynamic, informative, and interactive. We use various presentation styles and multimedia formats crafted for schools, churches, and civic organizations. We work with the event organizers to create an “experience” not just a presentation for the intended audience. Previous internet safety events have included skits, live DJ’s, picture booths, free food, expert panels answering audience questions, vendors, audience participation, and much, much more. If you are interested in hosting an event please contact Jamie Dempsey by clicking here
FORT SAFETY Small Group Workshops/Presentations In addition to large scale community events, our team of cyber safety advocates also provide small group presentations on site or using video conferencing. These presentations are perfect for church small groups/sunday School classes, business “lunch and learns”, or civil organizations who want to provide value and education to their members.
FORT SAFETY Promotional Presentations:
Our very first presentation as Fort Safety was at the Loganville Rotary Club, in Loganville, Georgia. John gave a 15 minute “thumbnail” description about how to project our kids online. Several of the Rotarians in that meeting requested that John speak at other communities and clubs….and the rest is history. That is how we got our start.
If you have a civic organization or small group that would like to learn more about Fort Safety, our misson, and the issues we tackle, please feel free to contact us here by clicking here.

Mark H. Davis
LOGANVILLE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
John is able to handle the tough topic of Internet pornography and addiction with young men in a safe and productive way…The young men are able to relate to someone that is honest, open, and frank with them about the challenges that they are facing…
Great job speaking tonight to all the parents at BCA !! (Bethlehem Christian Academy) I was impressed with your knowledge and how well you handled an uneasy subject. You are truly gifted, John.

Pastor and College Professor
As a father of a teenager I can tell you that not only did John hold my son’s attention, John also spoke in a way that allowed my son “to get it”. John is the “real deal” when it comes to delivering important information and being a man of integrity
