My Story
I’m Domonique Cooper—a dynamic leader, author, community connector, and nonprofit founder passionate about making a lasting impact through education, advocacy, and collaboration. My background spans nonprofit, for-profit, and federal government sectors, where I’ve developed expertise in operational management, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and human resources. I’m driven by a vision of empowering individuals and families and building strong community partnerships.

As the author of Witty Words of Wisdom for Moms, Community Connector: 8 Strategies for Effective Engagement and Collaboration, and My Animal Alphabet Appetite, I use my love of words and storytelling to inspire change. I also co-authored What If? I Am: The 4 Stages in Life for Teens. My dedication to strengthening youth and families shines through in my work with organizations like PEACE Gwinnett, Atlanta CASA, and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD).

My involvement with Fort Safety aligns perfectly with my passion for advocacy and child protection. Through this partnership, I work to promote safety awareness, online safety, and digital citizenship among youth, helping equip families with the tools they need to keep kids safe in both physical and digital spaces. This work reflects my commitment to ensuring children grow up in safe, supportive environments.

Beyond my work with Fort Safety, I serve as a mentor within Gwinnett County Public Schools, a school council leader, and a room parent at the elementary level. I also support literacy and educational access through my involvement with B2 Books, fostering a love for reading and learning in young minds. Whether mentoring students, volunteering with K Kids, or engaging in community initiatives, I strive to lead through service, driving positive change and empowering others.
